We pride ourselves in quality, simple food. But simple doesn't mean boring. Made with the freshest ingredients, our food is made in house daily, from the smoked turkey and pecan-smoked wings, to the homemade French fries, sauces and salad dressings, even down to the homemade pickles. Served in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere, our food is approachable, not intimidating. We like to call it "New South Casual."
In 2017, Ox Kitchen opened its doors in the back corner of what is now The Mill in Fairhope, Alabama. Bo Hamilton, owner and chef, wanted to create a place where locals would eat. Somewhere approachable and not stuffy, somewhere that served simple, quality food without all the bull.
After almost a decade owning a fine-dining restaurant in Auburn, AL, and living in Jackson, WY, Hamilton followed his passion by jumping back into the restaurant industry. He held taste-testing cookouts at his home, spent months perfecting recipes and pickles, and created what The Ox is today.
